JEFFERSON ISD

The information in this notice applies to ALLparent/guardians/households with children who attended Jefferson ISD this past school year.  Your household may be eligible to receive P-EBT (Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer) funds to purchase food.   P-EBT funds available may be in the amount of (up to) 285 dollars per eligible child.  Criteria for eligibility includes: 

1) children who received SNAP benefits for March 2020;  

2) children who attend a school that offers free meals to all students (which is true for ALL JISD students).

Families that DID receive SNAP benefits for the month of March 2020 should have already gotten this additional benefit added/loaded onto those existing SNAP cards in May, so applying for P-EBT benefits is not necessary if your children are between the ages of 5-18.  To receive funds for children younger than 5 or older than 18, an application must be submitted, which may be accessed through this link:   http://yourtexasbenefits.com/Learn/PEBT    

Families that did NOT receive SNAP benefits in March of 2020 will need to apply for these funds/cards.  Applications may be made by accessing the following the same link:  https://yourtexasbenefits.com/Learn/PEBT

The deadline for this application is July 31, 2020.  This is a one-time benefit and funds are non-transferrable.  If you need help filling out the P-EBT application, you may call 833-613-6220 for help or more information.
